DSpace build may fail due to several reasons. Kindly ensure that you have fulfilled the following prerequisites, before installing DSpace using ant.
1. JDK 8 is installed. Verify it using the command java -version.
2. Ant build tool is installed. Verify the same using the command ant -version.
3. Ensure that you have created local.cfg file.
4. Ensure that you have created the database for DSpace and entered the correct database name, database username and password in the local.cfg file. Also ensure that you have configured the database with pgcrypto extension.
In essence, before building DSpace, verify that you are getting the expected results for all the steps (prior to DSpace building) as demonstrated in the videos.
