setting terminal to Latex

Upon executing the line:
set term latex
I get the following error:
"gnuplot-tex.plt" line 25: unknown or ambiguous terminal type; type just 'set terminal' for a list
'latex' doesn't seem to be a valid terminal type.
I am using gnuplot version 5.4 on Ubuntu 18.04

Answers:
If latex is not seen in the list, in this version, latex may not be provided by default.
It will need to be added separately.
This happens, as the software versions change.
You may use another terminal of choice, for svg or another which you find suitable to save the output into.
