Hello, You can use ads in both the CMS but according to me there are lot of inbuilt themes available in wordpress so that would be easy to use and I have used the Newspaper wordpress theme  and it has a really easy customization options, You can change the placements of the ads and everything with just 1 click. The Theme is paid but in the free you can simply add the ads in the widgets.
