Question
How can I input a mesh at different time interval for simulating a continuously deforming membrane in OpenFOAM? Consider the motion of a flexible bird-wing to be simulated. The motion can be periodic but the wing is not rigid and hence deforms at each time interval. Can anybody please solve my problem using OpenFOAM?

Answers:

Hi,

Here you can use an existing OpenFOAM case "wingMotion" in incompressible/pimpleFoam category.
You can explore that moving motion feature here.

Thank you. I will try it.

You can try the dynamic mesh feature available in OpenFOAM using the dynamicMeshDict file. In order to get familiar with the same you may attempt some test cases of the same using OpenFOAM.
