Since this tutorial series is to make the learners to record and edit the audio on their own, we expect that the learners can replicate the same on their project file.

What if a person only wants to edit somebody else's recording? One may want to get started by first editing. After becoming comfortable, one may want to create as well. Shouldn't we permit that also? Mandating that they should record first will be counterproductive.
Because there are different types of learners, we need to provide a mechanism for all kinds of people and all kinds of learning. That is the secret for the spread of Spoken Tutorial based learning.
Keeping the above requirement in mind, we have come up with the basic philosophy behind the Spoken Tutorial approach: to provide an environment identical to what the instructor has. To comply with this, please provide the audio file.
To emphasize what I mentioned above, the initial condition for the learner and the video should be IDENTICAL.
