Answers:

Hi Vnarayanan.wgl,

Is your problem 2D or 3D ?

If you are solving a 2D case you can create the geometry using blockMesh.

For a 3D geometry you can use any CAD software for creating the geometry and Mesh it. The mesh file can then be imported into OpenFOAM and solved.

I cannot really comment on the type of solver you are using, you can have a look at the solver list available in the user guide and check mainly for solvers related to Heat Transfer.

Hi <span class="meta"><span class="user">Vnarayana.wgl,

You can go through the tutorial on Creating Simple geometries in OpenFOAM on the Spoken-Tutorial website for creating your blockMeshDict file. User Guide of OpenFOAM can also be useful for understanding blockMeshDict file.
