Why are we using the cyclic boundary? Is it the same as a periodic boundary?

Answers:

Periodic BC works for waves too. For eg. when you apply periodic BC you can give sine/cosine function too. Whereas cyclic will only copy paste data from its neighbouring patch, we dont have access to that function here.
