Since we will be making changes to the blockMeshDict, especially the boundary names, similar changes need to be made to the boundary conditions files such as p and U files. All boundaries named in the blockMeshDict file need to appear in the p and U files as well. Otherwise, the blockMesh command will show an error and won’t be executed. However, the blockMesh command works just fine without the boundary conditions folder (0 folder).
