Answers:

Yes, you can keep purgeWrite = 0. That will give you all results printed. For example here, in this tutorial by keeping it 0 will give you results at "1, 2, 3, 4 & 5" seconds. Since only last time matters here we need result at 5 sec. other time stpes are not required.
