1. I have installed XAAMP with Apache, MysQL, PHP. I also downloaded the Moodle. But could connect to XAAMP. The commands like SUDU is not available in Windows 8. Google search also did not give any result. The video is made in Linux and so commands for windows 8 are different and taking long time. Please give a solution.

 I downloaded version 4.0.as per instruction fouund in the link given above. When I filled in database setting giving password, and 'root' has come as default user the error message came which instructed to recompile PHP. There is no instruction to do so.
