Centripetal Acceleration

Acceleration is in the direction of the change in velocity, which points directly toward the centre of rotation.

Centripetal acceleration is the property of the motion of a body traversing a circular path.

The acceleration is directed radially towards the centre of the circle.

It has a magnitude equal to the square of the body’s speed along the curve divided by the distance from the centre of the circle to the moving body.

The force causing this acceleration is also directed towards the centre of the circle called a centripetal force.
