Did you follow all the steps required for the tutorial and made changes in Tools option as instructed in the tutorial? Also, did you get any error message when you compiled the code?

I am getting the same error as <span style="background-color: rgb(250, 250, 250);">esptool.FatalError: Failed to connect to ESP8266: Timed out waiting for packet header.</span>

connect 3.3V external power supply to your ESP8266 module instead of giving it from arduino.
