Hello,
When Cvpcb is launched, it fetches footprints and other modules from the internet. Depending on your internet connection speed, it will take time. The screen will turn grey for a while, once information is fetched, Cvpcb window will open up.

Dear Sir,
Its been 20 Minutes,since i clicked on CvPcb button.Internet speed is quite high and that's not an issue.But still the screen is gray and cursor is still reflecting processing state.Will it take this much long?I am not able to go ahead.

Dear Sir
Kindly have a look at the error

Errors were encountered loading footprints:
IO_ERROR: http GET command failed
Cannot get/download Zip archive: 'https://codeload.github.com/KiCad/Pin_Headers.pretty/zip/master'
for library path: 'https://github.com/KiCad/Pin_Headers.pretty'.
Reason: 'IO_ERROR: curl_easy_perform()=18: Transferred a partial file

One error reflected after 20 min.

It has to download huge chunk of data for the first time so its natural to take 20 mins or more to load the Cvpcb window.

And this is the entire error message you got? Or just a fraction of it?

Sir its entire error.Only this error i got.Even after this error i got Cvpcb window.But some of the footprints are not available like for J2 connector i am not able to get the footprint.Is it because of this error?What to do.

For J2 connector, you can select a footprint from Socket_Strips library. On the left most panel of Cvpcb, click on Socket_Strips, and the select whichever 2 pin connector you feel suitable.

Sir
I have a question,how to select the footprint for a component.Do we have a hard and fast rule for that or we can select any dimension.As library selection is clear,it is based on component.Do we have any relevant document to do that.

you can select any footprint of any dimension, there is no strict rule. You can open the footprint and see which one fits your requirement and select that.
